The Metamorphosis of Plants

Lyric Fest offers a program of German Lieder inspired by Goethe’s ground-breaking poem celebrating the mystery of our botanical world. “The Metamorphosis of Plants” (the poem) will be interspersed with the solo songs, duets and quartets of 17 German composers. Come and experience a co-mingling of poetry, science, and art song with soprano Kristina Bachrach, mezzo-soprano Kathryn Leemhuis, tenor Andrew Fuchs, baritone Randall Scarlata, and pianist Laura Ward.
